About Me
I am a Chartered Accountant with over 30+ years of global experience in finance leadership roles and over 23 years in PepsiCo (the food and beverages industry) with prior exposure to automobiles (DCM Toyota Ltd) and fertilizers (Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd).
I am actively advising both public and private companies on crucial aspects such as controllership, internal controls, business strategy, finance transformation, and risk management. I hold the esteemed position of Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Audit and Risk Committees at Prataap Snacks Ltd, a prominent snack food company. Additionally, I am a valued Audit Quality Advisory Board member at M/s Walker Chandiok & Co LLP (Grant Thornton Bharat).
As part of my commitment to nurturing innovation and growth, I am actively involved in supporting start-up companies and professional consultants. I serve as an Advisor and Board member for several start-ups, including Traktion Solutions P Ltd (Doctor 24x7), Terrainspotter Private Ltd (Travel Buddy), and Risk Educators P Ltd, the organization behind Global Risk Management Institute Gurgaon (GRMI).
I am also on the advisory panel of professional accounting firms SCV & Co LLP and BGJC Associates LLP.
In my 23 years with PepsiCo, I have implemented measures leading to top-line growth and bottom-line improvement across Asian businesses. I have worked in PepsiCo's food, dairy, and beverage businesses. I was the CFO at Frito-Lay India and have led the control and reporting agenda as Asst Controller AMEA (in Asia, ME, Africa, and Australia) and as Director of Corporate Audit in Asia/Australia, Middle East, and Africa. My work was recognized with a CNBC Risk Management Award for FMCG (India) in 2015 and many PepsiCo CFO awards for Strategic Impact, Control Excellence, and People Management.
I graduated from Nizam College, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, with a Bachelor of Commerce and am a Chartered Accountant (ACA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
